ReplyDeleteGlad to see global culture attempting non-Western influences. Do wonder however, how much the workers who made that were paid and under what conditions??? Good post tho'
ReplyDeleteLoving it...How Africa is now in the mainstream. Now I aint a fan of wearing kicks..But for this I may have to purchase!!
ReplyDeleteI love how African print is finally being respected in the fashion industry!
ReplyDeleteI love the fact that african material is recognised, and seen as fashionable rather than for tribal wear. however, i do not understand the prices of a dress made with ankara , going for £569 pounds, is the thread made out of gold.
ReplyDeleteRegarding, this blog, its really interesting , waiting to read new materials.
Own It.x
I so agree ladies! But i also do hear you on why on earth should a fabric that could have cost probably around £25 go for much more after a couple of stitches. But someone is buying it so you cant knock the hustle!
ReplyDeleteGood question but possibly these garments were not made in Africa....Technological advancement for the Western world is able to do alot nowadays
