'Google Me Baby' ... She's Got That Vibe!

I do not know whether I was initially stolen away by this 'Downtown's Sweetheart's' logo featured above or her entrepreneur take on life and her want to keep creating or even her STYLE and girl next door look! She goes by the name of Va$tie Kola and not only is this mami cita fly as .... she's a doll working for her throne and she's paid, girl has got it going on! Her trademark is left on all her work, so people know her work when they see it, but she is still able to add something new to each and every project making it look different from the rest.



















OK Let me drop it (DRUM ROLL PLEASE) she is an visionary director, designer, style maven, party producer, lady of leisure meaning socialite, entrepreneur and she is also into life through the lens (photography).... how amazing right??? She is 29 yrs of age (almost 30), bet your wishing you could look this good @29, I still got 6yrs and 3 weeks to master it. (wink) Va$h has directed music videos for the likes of Solange (Tony), Junior Sanchez & Good Charlotte (Elevator), Justin Bieber (One Time) and Kid Cudi (Heaven at Night) and she is very much hands on!

In 2006, Vashtie started a monthly 90’s party with her best buddy Oscar Sanchez, titled “1992”. Spinning music only from the early 90’s, the event brought out a mix of people such as Ne-Yo, Jermaine Dupri, Patrick Ewing, Redman, DJ Premier, The Clipse, Maxwell, Kid Cudi and more. Although its headquarters is in New York City, the party has spread as far as Miami, Paris and Amsterdam. In 2008, '1992' was nominated for Best Party at the Paper Magazine Nightlife Awards and received a style feature in The New York Times..... to add to her current achievements.

She has her own style in the form of clothes ..... I did tell you she is a designer right? Well it's titled 'Violette' and it's got her written all over it, its a very casual and affordable brand with a mix of various designs on t-shirts, something that would do me just right as im a throw it on kinda chick and never look back (*No Regrets) kinda flick! Violette is a combination of many things and so is Va$htie's style, rock, feminine, masculine (tomboy flair), cute, hip hop, street & downtown, quite a bit of opposites. Her attire fits her lifestyle (always on the go) and she's a lover of kicks, favs are Jordans. As Vashtie says,

Her wardrobe would consist of rare designer items and delicate vintage pieces. With superb style that is effortless and uncontrived, she starts trends without thinking. The harmony of contrasts is a distinction of her true sense of fashion.

In her interview with LTD Mag she was asked, what was the main factor for launching her line (violette) when SHE did? She replied saying ....

I waited too long in my opinion. I do this with everything. I’m always like I’ll wait on that. I remember reading a quote somewhere like great ideas that are never executed are a waste of space. In ’99 I was like I want to start a line, I need the perfect name and then it’s oh I’m busy with school. It got to a point where I didn’t have a choice anymore. I saw so many other people doing great things on their own.

I love her outfit for her featured photoshoot in NYLON MAG - 'It Girl' especially those hosiery's.... again she illustrated her Tomboy Extraordinaire twist to her outfit whilst still looking feminine and cute, not everyone is able. She definitely has your girl next door look and them curls do also play a part to it, I guess that's what makes her blogger friendly.
